There are plants growing all around us that offer us nourishment, physical and spiritual medicine, universal magic, beauty and joy. The key to experiencing their gifts is by tuning in and creating a relationship with these plants. Join Jennifer Helmer, of Eureka Astrology and Healing, as she weaves her knowledge and skills of herbalism, shamanism and astrology together to help you connect with the dynamic ways herbs can support your body, mind and spirit’s wellbeing.
This workshop will focus largely on local and abundant plants that can be easily found in your backyard and neighborhood.
Workshop Topics:
How to ethically & safely forage, process & store herbs.
Going on an herb walk & exploring the lore & medicinal uses of local plants (weather permitting).
Making your own herbal infused vinegar (everyone will get to make & take one home).
How to make infused herbal oil (you will get to take home some herbal infused oil).
Connecting to a specific plant through senses & learn to receive energetic & medicinal healing messages from them.
(This will be a guided meditation that will be done outside weather permitting).
Reviewing the difference between tinctures, teas, infused oils & their uses & efficacy of each.
Discussing how herbs can be incorporated into energetic, shamanic & magical healing.
Please Bring a packed lunch. There will be a 45 minute lunch break. Dress according to the weather as we will do an Herb Walk and Plant Meditation outside if weather allows.
Bring an eye cover & blanket to sit on for meditation with the plants if you like. Bring paper & pen for notes. Handouts for main topics will be provided.
